Quiche Lorraine

  • 1-10”unbaked pie crust
  • 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
  • 10 slices bacon
  • 4 Golden Valley eggs
  • 2 cups half and half or cream
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh pepper


  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
    Fry bacon until crisp. Break into pieces.
    Beat eggs; add half and half, nutmeg, sugar, salt and both peppers.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Sprinkle bacon over bottom crust.
    Cover with grated cheese.
    Pour egg mixture over all.
    Bake 10-15 minutes at 450 then reduce heat to 325 and continue to bake until inserted knife comes out clean (25-30 minutes).
